CEWS Sizing Guide

Find the Perfect Fit for Safety, Comfort and Calm

Choosing the right size is essential for your dog’s comfort, safety, and emotional regulation on the walk.

CEWS: The walk is not exercise; it’s regulation. Calm is designed, not trained.

Why Sizing Matters in CEWS

Unlike traditional equipment, CEWS works across all five layers of behaviour:

  • Mechanical Safety
  • Postural Safety
  • Environmental Predictability
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Cognitive Learning

Correct sizing ensures these layers work together, not against each other.

Important Fit Guidance

  • Dogs come in different shapes, even within the same breed
  • Always prioritise chest girth over weight or breed
  • A correct fit allows:
    • Better weight distribution
    • Reduced pressure points
    • Improved emotional regulation

How to Measure Your Dog

  • Measure around the widest part of your dog’s chest (girth)
  • Ensure the tape is snug but not tight
  • If your dog is between sizes, then choose the larger size for comfort and regulation

Not Sure Which Size?

  • Send us your dog’s photo, weight, chest measurement and breed
  • Our team will recommend the perfect CEWS fit for you
  • We would rather get it right the first time for you and your dog.
